About the Position

Reporting to the Sr Director, HR Strategy, Leadership, Learning & Inclusion, the Manager, HR Change Management and Communication will be responsible for leading and executing change management strategies that drive adoption and behavioral change needed to achieve HR’s focus area objectives. Additionally, the role will oversee the communication activities that effectively support HR strategies and program needs across the department.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

HR Change Management

Provide thought leadership and coaching regarding organizational and people-related change strategy and execution.Apply a structured methodology and leads change management activities to support large to medium scale strategic HR projects.Conduct stakeholder analysis, organizational impact, and change readiness assessments to identify change impacts on leaders, officers, employees, and other stakeholders and associated risks.Develop and implements change management strategies and plans to mitigate risks and successfully transition impacted stakeholders through the changes, including the implementation of communication, engagement, change leadership, training, and resistance management strategies and plans.Work with the various HR functions, Internal Communications, and others as necessary in the development and implementation of successful change management strategies and plans.Engage with HR leaders in the organization and acts as a coach in helping them fulfil the role of change sponsor to drive adoption of the change.Lead the development and implementation of a communication plan to build awareness, understanding, and buy-in of the change.Provide consultation and coaching to leaders as part of HR projects and initiatives to ensure people change impacts and risks are identified, considered, and resolved by the implementation of change management strategies and plans.Coach and mentor project teams to ensure a structured application and integration of change management methodologies within and across projects/programs that aligns with overall program/project plans and business objectives.Facilitate the development and use of performance metrics to define, measure and report on the progress and success of change and their impact on people.

HR Communications

Build quality relationships and deep understanding of TSA organizational goals, organizational and people capabilities, and HR strategic objectives.Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR leaders to understand and identify tactical / strategic communications solutions to fit business needs.Develop an annual internal strategic communications plan, and work in tandem with the CHRO on various tactical communications including town halls, videos, publications, and SharePoint.Act as a communications lead on HR projects, working closely with HR leadership and project teams to advance communication priorities and develop effective and integrated communication plans aligned with the HR and TSA strategy.Partner with project teams, senior leaders, and project sponsors to provide communication expertise for change initiatives and provide guidance through the change management process.Partner with Communications and creative teams to build and deliver communications that support key messages, programs, and HR organizational change initiatives.Draft program communications and strategic messages and create compelling graphics and visuals as needed to support awareness, applying strong attention to detail, and ensuring translations where appropriate.Develop new communications vehicles and refresh existing vehicles to maximize associate reach and reinforce alignment to business strategy and culture.Participate in the development of HR strategies in collaboration with the leadership team and broader HR management structure

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

University degree/College diploma, in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related disciplineCHRP/CPHR designationChange Management certification preferred (PROSCI, ACMP, CCMP or similar)

Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements

A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious human resources industry experience is an assetPrevious experience in large, matrixed organizations is an assetPrevious experience in a not-for-profit organization is an asset

Compensation

 

The target hiring range for this position is $90,674 to $113,343 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $136,011. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
