Product Owner – Marketing Technology (MarTech)

Location: Remote (EST Hours)

 

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Owner – Marketing Technology (MarTech) to drive the delivery, optimization, and continuous improvement of marketing technology platforms. This role is heavily focused on backlog ownership, user story development, and Agile execution, working closely with engineering, marketing, and compliance teams.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in enabling personalized, compliant, and data-driven marketing experiences, including customer preference management, campaign execution, and consent governance. A strong preference will be given to candidates with healthcare domain experience, ensuring alignment with regulatory and privacy standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

Own and manage the MarTech product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized, refined, and aligned with business goals
Write clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
Translate marketing, business, and compliance requirements into functional and technical specifications
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality delivery
Validate completed features against defined acceptance criteria and business requirements
MarTech Platform Management

Support implementation and optimization of platforms such as:
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Marketing automation tools
Analytics and reporting platforms
Consent and preference management systems
Work with tools like OneTrust (Consent & Preference Management), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar
Customer Data & Consent Management

Manage and enhance customer preference centers (communication preferences, subscriptions, consent capture)
Support integration and configuration of consent and privacy platforms
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
Enable secure and compliant customer data flows across marketing systems
Campaign Execution & Optimization

Support execution and monitoring of marketing campaigns, ensuring accurate tracking and data flow
Troubleshoot issues related to campaign performance, integrations, and analytics
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve campaign effectiveness and customer engagement
Stakeholder Collaboration & UAT

Partner with marketing, IT, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and prioritize initiatives
Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
Support Go-To-Market (GTM) planning and execution for new features and enhancements
Continuously improve processes to enhance delivery quality and speed
Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in MarTech or Digital Marketing environments
Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Proven expertise in backlog management and user story creation
Experience working with MarTech platforms (Adobe stack, CRM, marketing automation tools, consent platforms)
Strong understanding of data privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the Healthcare or Life Sciences domain (strongly preferred)
Familiarity with OneTrust Consent & Preference Management
Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), AJO, AEM, or similar ecosystems
Exposure to customer data platforms (CDP) and personalization engines
Certification in Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
