Power BI Developer / Data Analyst – Pharma Client (Contract)

Location: Remote / Hybrid (as per client requirement)

Contract Duration: 6 Months (possible extension)

Commitment: Full-time, 8 hours per day

 

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer / Data Analyst to support our pharmaceutical client on a 6-month engagement. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise in Power BI, ETL, and SSIS, combined with solid business acumen and an understanding of pharma data flows (prescription, dispensing, warehouse, and patient support programs).

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and IT counterparts to manage backlogs, build insightful dashboards, and deliver operational reports that drive data-driven decision-making.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Report Development
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and operational reports for pharma-related datasets.
Create visualizations that track KPIs, trends, and performance metrics across prescription, dispensing, and patient support programs.
ETL & Data Integration
Work with SSIS and ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for reporting and analytics.
Business Analysis & Documentation
Partner with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Develop clear documentation for dashboards, data flows, and business processes.
Domain-Specific Insights
Leverage an understanding of pharmaceutical operations, including prescription and dispensing workflows, pharmacy logistics, and warehouse systems.
Contribute to Patient Support Program (PSP) initiatives by pulling, analyzing, and structuring PSP data to support program performance monitoring.
Collaboration & Problem Solving
Work on data backlog items and partner with business and immediate team members to deliver solutions.
Support project initiatives by delivering dashboards and data-driven insights.
Act as a versatile problem solver and systems thinker, ensuring alignment between business goals and data-driven outcomes.

 

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Power BI development, SSIS, and ETL processes
Proven experience in business analysis and data analysis, with strong documentation skills
Understanding of prescription and dispensing workflows (pharmacy and warehouse)
Familiarity with Patient Support Programs (PSPs) – ability to pull and build PSP data insights (nice-to-have)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across business, technical, and stakeholder groups
Ability to work independently on backlogs, dashboards, and reporting projects
