We are seeking a Oracle DBA/System Administrator with 6 to 8 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in development, testing, and production environments.
Perform daily database health checks, space management, and monitoring using tools like OEM.
Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Pump.
Perform performance tuning and optimize queries and database objects.
Apply patches, perform upgrades, and manage database migrations.
Manage Oracle user accounts, roles, privileges, and security policies.
Monitor database logs, resolve incidents, and troubleshoot issues.
Schedule and automate maintenance jobs using scripts (Shell/PL-SQL).
Support Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
Perform basic Linux/Unix system administration related to Oracle environments.
Coordinate with developers, support teams, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and performance improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6 to 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
Good understanding of Oracle architecture and database internals.
Proficient in Oracle installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
Experience with RMAN, Data Pump, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Familiarity with PL/SQL and shell scripting.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience in performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Oracle RAC and ASM.
Exposure to Oracle Data Guard or GoldenGate.
Basic understanding of ITIL processes and incident/change management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud).
