Hiring: Operations Officer III – Securities Lending & Settlement (Toronto, ON) 🚨
A leading financial institution is seeking 2 skilled Operations Officers III to join their Securities Lending & Settlement team on a 1-year contract, with potential extension and conversion.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience in banking or financial services
• At least 3 years of settlement experience in CDS (Canadian Depository for Securities) and DTC (Depository Trust Company) environments — mandatory
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy analysis
• Expertise in financial reconciliations and resolving settlement discrepancies efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction and escalation
• Completion of CSC courses, or CFA/CGA certification is preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work onsite in Toronto — initial 90 days 5 days/week onsite, then 4 days/week onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Settle all loan/borrow/repay and collateral tickets daily in CDS and DTC
Monitor settlement discrepancies and collaborate with traders and margin teams to resolve issues
Support traders with real-time position checks and inquiries
Maintain audit-ready documentation in compliance with policies
