We are looking for an experienced Network Solution Designer to join the team. This exciting 12-month contract will focus on designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced private LTE, 4G/5G network solutions within both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
As the Network Solution Designer, you’ll play a key role in the convergence of IT/OT systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable networks to support industrial and enterprise operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge network designs in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment!
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop IT/OT network architectures that comply with Canadian industry regulations.
Lead the integration of IT and OT systems to enable real-time data exchange and enhanced visibility.
Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity strategies for IT/OT networks.
Troubleshoot and monitor network performance, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver innovative solutions.
Provide comprehensive documentation and train teams on best practices for IT/OT networking.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in IT/OT network design, with expertise in private LTE, 4G/5G network design.
Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC-UA, PROFINET) and IIoT platforms.
Proficiency in cybersecurity practices, including firewall management and intrusion detection.
Leadership skills in managing cross-functional projects and guiding technical teams.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
