Job Duties/Accountabilities

Bilingual Preferred (English/French) Not mandatory

Location: Montreal/ Toronto/Mississauga

The purpose of this project is to continue to build, integrate, deploy and support the video player wrapper called Jasper. This is a video player that is used by all mobile applications, websites and connected TV platforms where video content is played. Given that the team operates across Canada, this team needs to be made of bilingual (English and French- preferred) developers who can work with the teams located in Ontario and Quebec.

In addition, client operates in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery model. So these developers will have to fully versed in scrum and Kanban based Agile delivery and SAFe.

The following skills are required:

Mobile Application DevelopmentJava, Kotlin, Swift, GMA IMA SDKIntegration with Ad Servers such as FreeWheel, Cadent or Google Ad Managerunderstanding of ABR standards such as HLS and DASH.Prior experience with building a video player for a major streaming platformUnderstanding of the functionality of Jasper player wrapperPrior experience working with the open-source Shaka playerDeep understanding of SSAI and CSAI

Nice to have:

Prior experience with other commercial video players such as BitMovin, TheoPlayer, Mux, etc…
