Job Title: Manager, Incident Response / Incident Management
Location: Hybrid (1 day/week in office), Ontario, Canada
Employment Type: Contract → Permanent
Salary: $120K–$125K base + strong incentives (contract rate $60–$65/hr INC)
About the Role:
Lead a high-visibility incident response team protecting a large-scale technology environment. You’ll manage critical incidents across IT, eCommerce, store operations, and supply chain, driving resolution, communicating with senior leaders, and improving operational efficiency. This role starts as a contract (3–6 months) with a clear path to permanent full-time employment.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of 7–10 incident response and operations professionals
Own incident response strategy, escalation, communication, and post-incident analysis
Maintain and improve playbooks, protocols, and governance
Coordinate cross-functional teams during high-impact incidents
Track metrics, report to leadership, and continuously improve incident response maturity
Who You Are:
Experienced in incident management or IT operations (7+ years)
Strong people leader with excellent communication skills at all levels, including Directors and VPs
Calm under pressure, decisive, solution-oriented, and proactive
Familiar with ITSM frameworks and tools (ServiceNow, ITIL certifications preferred)
Retail or large enterprise experience preferred (Walmart, Loblaw, Canadian Tire, Costco, or similar environments)
