🚨 We’re Hiring: Mainframe Developer (Assembler & COBOL) | Hybrid in Toronto 🚨
Are you an experienced Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in Assembler and COBOL? Want to work on high-impact projects supporting high-net-worth clients at one of Canada’s top financial institutions? This is your chance to make a difference.
📍 Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (3 days/week)
🕒 Contract Length: ASAP – October 31, 2025 (Extension & FTE potential)
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and support mainframe development efforts on a Signature Banking Project
Collaborate with business lines in Private Banking
Develop, support, and enhance complex COBOL programs
Champion system improvements and provide 24/7 application support rotation
Work closely with senior developers, project leads, and architects
✅ What You Bring:
10+ years of hands-on Assembler development experience
10+ years of COBOL programming including JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS, VSAM
Proficiency with tools like Endevor, ACF2, SDSF, CA7, Fault Analyzer
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
💡 Nice to Have:
Experience with DevOps, APIs, SFTP/PGP, or Cloud (Azure) integration
Understanding of mainframe-based ETL processes
