Hiring: Mainframe Developer (COBOL / DB2 / IMS) – Toronto, ON (Hybrid | Contract)

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer for a contract opportunity in Toronto, Canada (Hybrid).

💼 Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, IMS, DB2, and SAS
• Build and enhance batch and online processing systems for banking and insurance applications
• Develop ETL pipelines and data transformation processes (SAS, DB2, AbInitio, UNIX)
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Support production/QA teams and resolve issues efficiently
• Participate in migration, integration, and large-scale data projects
• Lead testing activities including integration and UAT support

🛠️ Required Skills:
• Strong experience with COBOL, IMS, DB2, and SAS
• Hands-on experience in mainframe application development and support
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in Agile environments

➕ Nice to Have:
• AbInitio, UNIX
• Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence
• IntelliJ / Eclipse
