Location

Those located in Ottawa, Canada will be expected to work from our office 3 days per week. If you are located elsewhere in Canada or the US, you will work from home.

About The Team

At Kinaxis, we’re reimagining how our legal department operates, and we’re looking for a Legal Operations Lead to drive this transformation. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape key operational initiatives within the department to ensure our legal team operates at peak performance and ultimately enables the broader Kinaxis team.

What you will do

 

Drive transformation activities to improve department effectiveness and impact.Oversee the implementation of Ironclad CLM software, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and successful adoption across teams.Design and implement processes and procedures that improve workflow management, create efficiencies and advance departmental strategies.Work closely with the legal leadership team and stakeholders from across the business to identify operational challenges and priorities.Lead change management initiatives within the department and the broader Kinaxis team, including communicationsAssist in cultivating a collaborative and high-performing legal team by creating opportunities for team building, knowledge sharing, and professional growth through structured development programs and initiatives.Design and facilitate training and enablement sessions for Legal team members, ensuring effective adoption of new technology and processes.In partnership with our IT team, developing and managing roadmap for legal technology across all legal practice groups, including new tools and enhancements to existing tools.Design and maintain knowledge management and document management systems and processes.Develop legal reporting metrics for the legal team, including an operational dashboard to provide insights and inform decision making.Tracking departmental budget and implementing legal vendor management policies and procedures.Managing the department’s onboarding and professional development/CLE programs.Support on other projects and initiatives within the legal department as necessary.

What we are looking for

 

Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of legal operations experienceHands-on experience with CLM software implementation (experience with Ironclad would be an asset)Proven experience implementing new technology, processes, and procedures within a legal department to meet strategic objectives.Experience leading transformation activities, including facilitating trainingDemonstrated project management / process improvement experienceStrong collaboration skills, with ability to build relationships within the team and across other departmentsGood business judgment and sound decision-makingHighest standards of ethics, professional integrity and confidentialityAdvanced analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple sources to develop impactful recommendations to achieve results for the business.Superior ability managing and prioritizing workloads in an environment of ongoing urgency, ambiguity, and change
