Lead Software Engineer / Developer (Contract) Hybrid – Oshawa
Are you a hands-on technical leader who loves building great software and elevating the engineers around you? We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive architecture, mentor teams, and influence technical direction on high-impact systems.
What you’ll do:
Lead system design and architecture for scalable, secure solutions
Mentor engineers and raise the bar for engineering excellence
Champion best practices across development, security, and DevOps
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with business goals
Influence technical strategy and introduce modern tools and approaches
What you bring:
8-15 years of Software Development experience
Strong background in .NET development
Experience with Microservices / API modernization projects
Experience with React or Angular for front-end portal development
Previous experience in a Senior/Lead role creating solutions, mentoring junior developers, while still being 80% hands-on
Azure Cloud experience
Experience with either Kafka or RabbitMQ is valued
GIT experience
Good experience working through innovative solutions and solving new software problems, migrating from legacy systems

📍 Hybrid role (mix of remote and on-site)
