Position Title: Junior Accounting Clerk
Location: Ottawa, Ont.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)
Full-time Permanent Position / Onsite Full Time
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview:
The Junior Accounting Clerk provides essential support to the finance department by assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting month-end reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Post transactions to the general ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements.
• Complete data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain organized financial files and documentation.
• Support the accounting team with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Previous experience (1-2 years) in an accounting or finance support role preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education:
Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
