Java Developer:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer- Application Support for a 12 Months contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Java Developer – Job Description:

The project involves providing Level 3 support for existing applications, ensuring their health and stability. The role requires analyzing logs and resolving production issues without developing new code.

Java Developer – Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the application is healthy

• Analyze logs to identify and resolve production problems

• Provide effective day-to-day support for applications/systems

• Perform incident management, including communication and escalation during outages

• Partner with key stakeholders to maintain and monitor applications/systems

Java Developer – Mandatory Skills:

• Java J2EE experience

• Knowledge of MQ configuration on Waxfair

• Development experience in all phases of SDLC

• Understanding of WAS and JBOSS Console settings

• Expertise in log analysis

Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog

• SQL Queries

• Splunk Query Language

• Linux/Unix, ServiceNow, Jira
