Job Title: IT Security Analyst – Hybrid Contract (Toronto, ON)
Salary Range: $47–$54/hr (contract, all-inclusive)
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (2–4 days in office)
Contract Duration: Feb 16, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026 (possibility of extension/FTE)
About the Role:
Join a fast-paced cybersecurity team protecting critical business systems. We’re looking for a hands-on IT Security Analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to threats, develop security use cases, and manage DLP rules and policies. What You’ll Do:
Monitor and respond to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and security events.
Investigate suspicious activities such as phishing or internal threats.
Collaborate with IT, business, and control teams to strengthen security posture.
Contribute to the creation and improvement of incident response playbooks.
Translate complex technical threats into actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
5+ years in network, information, or IT security operations.
1+ year hands-on experience with DLP policy creation and management.
2+ years building and running TTP frameworks for threat detection.
Experience in SOC, Red Team exercises, vulnerability assessments, or compliance consulting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Certifications: Sec+, CySA+, CISSP Associate, Net+, A+.
Multilingual skills (Spanish a strong asset).
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
