IT Analyst – POS (Point-of-Sale)

Location: Markham, ON (Onsite first month, remote following two months)
Duration: Immediate start through December 31, 2026

We have an urgent contract opportunity for an experienced IT Analyst – POS to support a national retail operation. This role combines traditional L1/L2 IT support responsibilities with hands-on Point-of-Sale (POS) deployment, configuration, and support for warehouse sale events across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
End-User & IT Support
-Provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, and business applications.
-Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
-Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, shared resources, and related infrastructure.
Network & Systems Support
-Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling, network hardware, and wireless connectivity.
-Assist with systems administration and network-related support activities.
-Ensure reliable connectivity and performance at temporary and permanent business locations.
POS & Retail Technology Support
-Configure, deploy, support, and troubleshoot POS environments.
-Provide hands-on support for MyPOS/POSiflex systems, payment terminals, and related retail technologies.
-Prepare, deploy, configure, maintain, and dismantle IT equipment for Factory Direct Sale events.
-Provide onsite technical support during warehouse sales and retail operations across Canada.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience providing L1/L2 IT Support in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Desktop and laptop support, Printers and mobile device support
Experience with network equipment, structured cabling, and wireless technologies.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with POS systems setup, deployment, and support.
Experience supporting retail stores, warehouse operations, or distribution centers.
Ability and willingness to travel across Canada as required.

Preferred Experience
Experience with MyPOS, POSiflex, payment terminals, and related retail technologies.
Experience supporting temporary warehouse sales or retail event environments.
