Job Opportunity: Intermediate Training Specialist

Contract Position

About the Role:
We are seeking an Intermediate Training Specialist to lead and support training and change management initiatives as part of a dynamic project team. This hybrid contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced learning professional with a strong background in adult education, technical training delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Training & Design
Conduct training needs assessments in alignment with Change Management practices
Design comprehensive training curricula, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning components
Develop end-user training materials (guides, facilitator resources, online modules)
Lead evaluation and continuous improvement efforts for all training initiatives
Apply e-learning development expertise using authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Align training delivery with project timelines and milestones
Stakeholder Collaboration & Facilitation
Collaborate with subject matter experts, project teams, and stakeholder groups to gather training requirements
Apply adult learning principles to develop effective learning strategies
Support or lead facilitation of virtual and in-person training sessions
Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating complex information into clear, actionable training
Participate in quality assurance and testing processes related to training programs
Escalate and manage issues proactively with actionable recommendations

Required Skills & Experience:
Adult Education Expertise
Solid understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles
Experience delivering training through multiple modalities (classroom, virtual, self-paced)
Training Development & Project Management
Experience designing and implementing training initiatives for technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to manage training project plans, timelines, and deliverables
Strong analytical and evaluation skills for ongoing learning improvements
Technical & Business Acumen
Proficiency with e-learning tools and platforms (e.g., Articulate, LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Digital Service Standard, Design System, Service Design Playbook, and AODA compliance
Knowledge of Change Management frameworks
Communication & Relationship Management
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities
Customer-focused approach with high attention to detail and adaptability
