📋 Role Details:
📍 Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in Edmonton, AB.
📅 Contract Term: July 2, 2025 – December 1, 2025 (6 months, with 6-month extension option).
⏰ Working Hours: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, Alberta time.
⏰ Submission Deadline: June 4, 2025, 11:00 PM.

💼 Job Description:
📈 Financial & Contract Analysis: Review financial, contractual, and operational data to monitor performance and compliance.
💰 Budget Development: Assist in preparing budgets, develop contract-level justifications, and maintain comprehensive contract inventories.
🔍 Spend Analysis: Conduct detailed spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities through contract optimization.
📊 Zero-Based Budgeting: Prepare and present zero-based budgeting reports to enhance financial transparency.
🤝 Grants Support: Analyze grant funding data and support compliance with reporting requirements.
⚙️ Process Improvement: Recommend and implement financial policy updates and process efficiencies.
📊 Dashboards & Reporting: Develop dashboards and reports for internal/external decision-making.

✅ Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting (preferably zero-based or performance-based).
Expertise in contract cost analysis, spend analysis, and cost allocation.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial/budgeting software (ERP systems preferred).
Strong communication skills for presenting to technical/non-technical audiences.

🌟 Desired Qualifications:
CPA or CFA designation (asset).
3+ years in managing project/program financials, process improvement, and IT accounting processes.
3+ years with data governance, privacy, and compliance regulations.
3+ years in accounting systems, managing budgets, and internal controls.
