Job Description
We are looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst to support key initiatives within the Ontario Public Service. – **Location:** Toronto – **Contract Duration:** 11 months with renewal – **Onsite Requirement:** 5 days/week – **Rate:** $80/hour **Note:** Experience with the Ontario Public Service or related government organizations is required. **Responsibilities:** – Lead business analysis across complex I&IT initiatives – Engage stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements – Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis – Facilitate workshops, including JAD sessions and Agile ceremonies – Produce process models, use cases, data models, and requirements documentation – Support solution design aligned with OPS standards and methodologies – Track progress, manage risks/issues, and report to stakeholders **Must-Have Skills & Experience:** – Strong experience engaging business and IT stakeholders – Agile/iterative delivery experience – Complex system analysis and full lifecycle implementation experience – Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills – Public sector I&IT experience, including solutions architecture, application design, QA standards, and delivery methodologies – Experience with public sector applications, databases, and cross-cluster solutions – Working knowledge of Ontario Public Service policies and governance frameworks – Familiarity with AODA requirements – Understanding of the Simpler, Faster, Better Services Act and OPS Digital First Strategy (Digital Service Standards, Service Design Playbook) – Experience with COTS implementations (e.g., Oracle Siebel) – Proficiency in Jira (user stories, backlog management) and Visio (process mapping) – Familiarity with prototyping/wireframing tools – Knowledge of OPS methodologies (UPM, EA, gating processes) Please connect with me directly if you are interested.
