Information Security Consultant (Contract )
Location: Remote – Anywhere in Canada (work CST hours 8 AM–5 PM)
Employment Type: Contract 3–6 months
We’re looking for a hands-on Information Security Consultant to join a high-performing security team! In this role, you’ll help protect critical systems, design secure architectures, implement security controls, and lead incident response initiatives. You’ll collaborate across IT, business, and vendor teams to strengthen resilience, compliance, and risk management across enterprise technology and cloud environments.
What You’ll Do:
Review and secure enterprise architectures, cloud deployments, and network designs
Develop secure architecture patterns, operational runbooks, and configuration standards
Lead or support incident response: investigation, containment, RCA, recovery, and reporting
Implement and manage security technologies: NGFW, EDR, SIEM, PKI, vulnerability management, email security
Contribute to service catalog enhancements, security standards, and compliance processes
Communicate security impacts and recommendations to leadership
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of hands-on Information Security experience (engineering, architecture, or operations)
Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CCIE Security
Expertise with EDR platforms, NGFW, SIEM, vulnerability management, cloud security
Strong knowledge of security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, PIPEDA/FOIP, HIPAA/PHI
Experience managing PKI, certificate lifecycle, and enterprise email security
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
