🧩 Job Overview
Our Banking Client in Toronto is seeking a skilled IBM z/OS System Programmer to support the installation, customization, upgrade, and ongoing maintenance of z/OS and its subsystems. This is a core infrastructure and systems role, not an application developer position. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with SMP/E, JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, and performance monitoring tools, along with expertise in mainframe system architecture, LPAR builds, and modernization integration.

Your Key Responsibilities:
🔧 Lead z/OS software upgrades, customization, and performance tuning
⚙️ Manage and configure LPAR builds, DASD, VTL, and z14/z15 hardware
🚨 Handle major incidents and conduct system-level debugging
🔄 Integrate with systems via FTP, MQ, SFTP, and Web Services

Must-Have Skills:
✔️ z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, RMF, WLM, RACF
✔️ Strong troubleshooting & integration capabilities
✔️ Solid understanding of system infrastructure
