Your new role
The open role is for a Project Manager to join the team and focus on projects throughout Ontario. This individual will be part of an innovative and knowledgeable team that will successfully implement quality construction projects to strengthen our community infrastructure. They will manage projects, including team direction, coordination with trades, monitoring schedules, and be conscious of project budgets. This Project Manager will communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders and public officials, as well as manage staff for technical project activities.
What you’ll need to succeed
The successful Heavy Civil Project Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on heavy civil or foundational projects in Ontario, and have strong project management and technical skills. They will have a strong understanding of legal contracts, have the ability to lead a team and be a strategic and critical thinker. The PM will have knowledge of municipal and provincial design standards, and have strong technical writing skills. Finally, they will be an excellent communicator both written and oral, be able to direct stakeholders and build rapport with clients. A P. Eng designation in Ontario would be considered an asset.
