🔍 About the Opportunity:
We are hiring a Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst to support a major federal agency client. This is a 12-month fully remote contract offering the opportunity to lead and influence enterprise risk and security compliance initiatives within a high-impact environment.
If you’re a GRC professional with experience in cyber risk management, compliance frameworks, and security assessments – and you hold or are eligible for Government of Canada Reliability Clearance – we’d love to hear from you.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
Define and lead enterprise-wide tech risk reduction strategies
Develop and maintain a Cyber Risk Register including assets, threats, and vulnerabilities
Conduct threat modeling exercises and security risk assessments
Write and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and awareness content
Collaborate with IT and audit teams to assess risk on systems, processes, and technologies
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing
Conduct Security Assessments (SA&A) and prepare reports for senior leadership
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and Government of Canada standards
✅ What You Bring:
Undergraduate degree in InfoSec, Cybersecurity, or related field OR 5+ years of equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT risk, compliance, audit, or cybersecurity
Hands-on experience with risk registers, threat modeling, and security gap analysis
Certifications (preferred):
CISSP, CISA, CRISC
ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer
GRCP, GRCA

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Work Setup: 100% Remote (within Canada)
Security Clearance: Government of Canada Reliability Clearance required (we can sponsor if needed, but active/transfer preferred)
