Fund Accountant

We’re Hiring: Fund Accountant – Toronto, ON 🌟

Our client, a leading financial institution with extensive North American holdings, is looking for a skilled Fund Accountant to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. The position is hybrid, based in Toronto, ON, with a rate starting from $35/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
– Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements and regulatory compliance
– Prepare and review T2 & T3 Returns in accordance with the Income Tax Act of Canada
– Analyze corporate actions, income, and capital gains distributions for mutual funds and pooled funds
– Calculate tax factors for T3 unitholder filings

Qualifications:
– 3–5 years of investment fund accounting experience
– Strong knowledge of IFRS, Canadian Income Tax, and regulatory requirements
– Expertise in reviewing financial statements, fund distributions, and tax returns
– Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software
– Strong communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills
– Canadian accounting certifications are an asset

This role offers flexible hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00, primarily remote with some on-site requirements.
