Front-End Developer – Digital Campaign & Customer Communications (Hybrid – Toronto) 1 yr contract
We are hiring a Front-End Developer to support large-scale digital marketing campaigns and customer communications for a major enterprise financial environment. This role focuses on building, testing, and optimizing high-quality digital experiences across web and email channels for millions of end users.
🚀 Role Overview
You will be responsible for designing and developing responsive, accessible, and dynamic digital campaign content across authenticated and unauthenticated channels (web, mobile banking, email). This role blends front-end engineering with marketing execution, requiring strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of customer-facing digital experiences.
You will collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure campaigns are visually polished, technically sound, and fully compliant with regulatory standards.
🧠 Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain digital campaign assets using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Build responsive email templates and web-based marketing experiences
Work with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
Implement and troubleshoot campaign code across multiple channels
Configure dynamic and personalized content at scale
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
Perform quality assurance on campaign logic and rendering
Collaborate with designers using tools like Figma, Photoshop, or Sketch
Support A/B testing, experimentation, and optimization efforts
Ensure compliance with CASL, anti-spam, accessibility (WCAG), and privacy regulations
Work closely with marketing and operations teams to meet campaign deadlines
🎯 Must-Have Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role
Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js
Solid understanding of email and web development best practices
Experience using Git or other version control systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
⭐ Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience with email marketing platforms such as:
Adobe Campaign / Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO)
Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Responsys or similar tools
Experience building responsive email campaigns at scale
Exposure to marketing automation, personalization, or dynamic content systems
Background in digital design, UX/UI, or marketing environments
Experience in regulated industries (financial services preferred)

📍 Role Details
Location: Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)
Contract: 1 Year (extension and conversion possible)
Schedule: Standard business hours (37.5 hrs/week)
Rate: 41-48/hr (INC)
