Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Fixed Income Operations Analyst who will contribute to an environment of innovation that leads to working smarter and simpler. The successful candidate must develop a mindset of critical thinking, risk management and understanding the needs of clients and internal business partners.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $34.78/hr
Responsibilities
Manage and resolve fixed income settlement exceptions in CDS and CDCC platforms
Perform daily CAD settlements for repo, pledge, bond, and safekeeping trades
Investigate and resolve cash and depository breaks
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and global business partners
Collaborate with regional and global settlement teams for cross-border transactions
Identify opportunities for process enhancements within responsibilities
Document processes and ensure knowledge transfer among team members
Escalate payment risks appropriately and monitor for compliance
Respond promptly to emails and team requests
Cross-train across settlement desks to ensure team coverage during absences
Assist with ad hoc requests such as audit confirmations and inquiries
Participate in team meetings and ongoing training activities
Desired Skill-Set
1+ years of experience in customer service related to settlements and fixed income products
Basic proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and prioritization abilities
High attention to detail and self-motivated mindset
Adaptability and willingness to learn
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the Canadian Depository System
Education in fixed income, bonds, or related financial areas
Understanding of bonds, principal values, and related concepts
Experience working in a banking or financial institution setting
CSC certification
