Noramtec is currently seeking a skilled Financial Analyst – Intermediate to join our client’s dynamic team in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional who thrives in a fast-paced, contract-based environment and is passionate about data-driven decision-making, financial process improvement, and contractual compliance.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll leverage your financial acumen, analytical thinking, and IT proficiency to support:
Financial and contractual analysis
Budgeting and forecasting activities
Internal and external reporting, including dashboard development

Key Responsibilities Include:
Reviewing and interpreting financial, contractual, and operational data
Assisting in the preparation of annual/project-based budgets
Conducting detailed spend and contract compliance analysis
Identifying cost-saving opportunities through contract evaluation
Preparing zero-based budgeting reports and justifications
Analyzing grant funding impacts and compliance
Developing dashboards and reports to inform stakeholders
Supporting audit and traceability processes
Collaborating with internal teams for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Recommending updates to financial policies and procedures

Who is interested:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
A professional designation (CPA, CFA) is an asset
3–5 years of financial analysis and budgeting experience, preferably with zero-based or performance-based budgeting
Strong understanding of contract cost analysis and spend methodology
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software (ERP experience preferred)
An analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
Experienced in dashboard creation, reporting, and process documentation
