Job Title: ERP Implementation Project Manager
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Job Type: Contract (18 Months)
Rate: $50–$65/hour (commensurate with experience)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Project Manager to lead a high-impact, multi-year ERP transformation initiative for a large public-sector organization. This is a confidential and critical role, reporting directly to the ERP Program Director and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
Lead the day-to-day execution of the ERP implementation project as per the project plan.
Ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and quality standards.
Conduct risk assessments and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Manage scope, schedule, and budget change approvals with stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Host regular team meetings to align on priorities and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Resource Coordination
Align internal and external resources with project phases and priorities.
Monitor team workloads to optimize resource utilization.
Ensure effective rollout and support for end-user training.
Communication & Reporting
Track KPIs and provide timely project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Foster clear and open communication across the project team.
Escalate critical issues and support change management efforts to ensure adoption of the new ERP system.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years leading full ERP implementations.
Proven experience working with major ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Dynamics).
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-phase projects.
Strong understanding of finance, procurement, CRM, and system integration processes.
Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
PMP certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Additional Information
Hybrid work model: 3 days per week onsite.
Initial contract duration: 18 months, with possibility of extension.
Ideal candidates will be proactive, adaptable, and confident in managing large-scale ERP initiatives independently.
