Enterprise Architect – Permanent | On-Site 4 Days/Week | Multiple Cities (Canada)
We’re partnering with a leading global law firm to hire an experienced Enterprise Architect who will play a pivotal role in shaping technology strategy, driving modernization, and defining the firm’s enterprise architecture across Canada.
This is the firm’s most senior technical architecture role in the country—ideal for someone who can think strategically, influence senior stakeholders, and work hands-on with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.
📍 Candidates may sit out of:
Calgary • Montreal • Quebec City • Ottawa • Toronto • Vancouver
(4 days/week in office is required for all locations)
What You’ll Do
Lead the development and evolution of enterprise-wide architecture standards, roadmaps, and reference models
Drive modernization initiatives across infrastructure, cloud, platforms, and security
Partner with Project Leads and Solution Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise design principles
Own and manage the Architecture Review Board / Technical Design Authority
Oversee architecture for data strategy and contribute to GenAI technology direction
Conduct horizon scanning and recommend emerging technologies
Collaborate with enterprise architects in other global regions
Advise senior leadership and act as a trusted technology partner
Support innovation through PoCs and product evaluations
Improve reliability, security, and performance across the environment
What You Bring
✔️ 10+ years in IT roles (Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Technical BA, etc.)
✔️ 3–4+ years as an Enterprise Architect with broad architectural coverage (infrastructure, cloud, network, security, data)
✔️ Strong background in the Microsoft ecosystem, including:
Azure services (Entra ID, AD Connect, ExpressRoute, PIM, Conditional Access)
Azure infrastructure (Hub & Spoke, vWAN, VMs, Storage, Fileshares, Terraform, VPN/peering)
M365, Intune, Azure Service Bus, Fabric
✔️ Solid grounding in security architecture and modern security frameworks
✔️ Experience with modernization, cloud adoption, and large-scale transformation
✔️ Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
✔️ Ability to balance innovation with compliance in a regulated environment
Nice to Have:
Experience in legal, professional services, or regulated environments
Experience with iManage Cloud, ServiceNow, SAP
Certifications: TOGAF, Azure Architect, CISSP, ITIL
Familiarity with risk frameworks (e.g., ISO27001)
