Location: Toronto, ON (Thrice a Week Onsite)

Job Description
The Sr. Technical Specialist (with 5+ years of IT experience) will collaborate with IT and Wealth Management business partners to ensure our technology solutions meet stakeholder needs.

What will you do?
Manage day to day production support issues, trouble shotting and root cause analysis
Responsible for change management activities in test and production environments, including deployment of code, while adhering to source code management and release management policies
Maintain health and safety of production systems and applications. Identify risks and risk mitigation opportunities. Improve existing application instrumentation and monitoring
Work with development teams and business partners to provide input on best mix of development, interfacing applications, and third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives in an agile environment
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, management, stakeholders, infrastructure teams and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from start to finish
Build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business, and information systems
Provide coaching, expertise, and feedback to build the capability of the team
Involved in occasional weekend and after-hours support
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft C#, .Net, Angular
Proficiency DevOps processes, tools and deployment procedures
Experience supporting multiple high-priority applications (web, windows, batch jobs)
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Flawless written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize their own work and work of team
Nice to have
Hands on expertise with Client Reporting, Trading, and Wealth Management applications
Proficiency with Windows Server operating systems and IIS
Proficiency with cloud hosted applications, Microsoft Azure, OpenShift Cloud Platform (OCP)
Prior hands-on expertise with the Maintain Accounts & Clients System (MACS) application
Trading life cycle knowledge
Hands on experience in working as Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Catchpoint, PagerDuty, Moog Soft, Elastic
