Job Description
We are offering a six-month contract (with a strong possibility of extension) for a Document Preparation Contractor. This is a fully onsite role located at Kent Avenue South in Vancouver.
Our client is undertaking a large-scale document digitization initiative involving millions of physical records. They are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable contractor to support document preparation activities prior to scanning, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the digitization process.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, transport, and organize boxes of physical documents
Prepare documents for scanning, including removing fasteners, repairing pages, and ensuring proper alignment
Sort and organize records according to established guidelines and workflows
Verify document completeness and sequencing prior to scanning
Label, track, and maintain accurate records of document batches
Re-box or securely store documents as required
Adhere to procedures for handling sensitive and confidential information
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with scanning operators and project team members to meet production targets
Required Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information
Basic computer skills for tracking and logging work
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in document preparation, records management, or digitization projects
Experience working in a warehouse, archive, or high-volume processing environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry boxes of documents within safe workplace limits
Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
