Title: Director – Fixed Income Technology (Capital Markets)
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid, 3–4 days onsite)
Salary: $180,000–$200,000 CAD + 20% bonus + 4 weeks vacation
About the Role:
Are you a motivated, hands-on technology leader ready to drive modernization in Fixed Income post-trade systems? We’re seeking a Director of Fixed Income Technology to lead a high-performing team supporting global Fixed Income Settlements & Clearing. This is a high-visibility role with exposure to enterprise-scale systems, vendor management, and regulatory operations across Canada, the U.S., UK, and Asia.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and inspire a team of 10–15 developers, BSA’s, and architects, with plans for growth in 2026
Oversee global 24/7 production support for Fixed Income Operations applications
Drive modernization using Broadridge IMPACT, Java, Kafka, NiFi, and DevOps practices
Partner with business and operations stakeholders to ensure seamless Fixed Income settlement and clearing processes
Manage multiple technology initiatives with budgets of $2M–$15M
Implement Agile, Lean, and continuous improvement practices across your team
Influence global technology strategy and ensure operational resilience and regulatory compliance
What We’re Looking For:
Extensive hands-on experience in Fixed Income post-trade operations, settlements, clearing, and lifecycle events
Strong operational knowledge of Broadridge IMPACT systems
Exposure to Java, Kafka, NiFi, or similar enterprise integration technologies
Prior experience leading technology teams in Capital Markets / Fixed Income Technology
Credibility with business stakeholders and the ability to hit the ground running
Nice-to-Have:
Vendor management experience
Knowledge of modernization initiatives in global banking environments
Experience with Agile/DevOps frameworks
