Job Title: Director, Fixed Income Technology – Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Salary: $180,000–$200,000 CAD + 20% bonus + 4 weeks vacation
Location: Downtown Toronto, 3–4 days in office; hybrid eligible

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on, high-performing Director of Fixed Income Technology to lead and modernize global post-trade and settlement systems. This is a high-visibility role driving technology innovation, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across Fixed Income and Capital Markets operations.
You will lead a growing team of 10–15 technologists, overseeing system modernization, vendor relationships, and multi-million-dollar technology initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Fixed Income technology while gaining global exposure across Canada, the U.S., UK, and Asia.
What You’ll Do:
Own all technology supporting Fixed Income Settlements & Clearing globally (Broadridge IMPACT experience preferred).
Lead modernization of post-trade systems, applying Java, Kafka, NiFi, and DevOps practices.
Manage cross-functional teams (Developers, Architects, BSA’s, PMs), ensuring delivery excellence and operational resiliency.
Partner with Operations and Business stakeholders to translate business strategies into actionable technology initiatives.
Drive Agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement practices across global teams.
Maintain system integrity, mitigate operational risk, and champion best-in-class technology solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in Fixed Income Technology, post-trade workflows, and settlements/clearing.
Hands-on or past exposure to Broadridge IMPACT, Java, Kafka, NiFi, and enterprise integration technologies.
Strong understanding of Fixed Income lifecycle events, operational risk, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated leadership managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Ability to “hit the ground running” with credibility among Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders.
