Are you a talented DevOps Specialist looking for an exciting challenge? Our client is seeking up to three (3) DevOps Specialists to join their team and contribute to innovative service projects, program reviews, and digital transformation initiatives. These roles offer the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
What You’ll Do:
As a DevOps Specialist, you’ll play a key role in developing and deploying digital services, working collaboratively with product owners and teams across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
Automation and Scripting: Design and implement automation for smooth deployments and maintenance, creating tools and procedures that streamline operations.
Production Environment Management: Oversee configuration and credentials for production environments, managing maintenance activities, database upgrades, migrations, backups, and more.
Enhancement Support: Create deployment templates and CI/CD pipelines; automate the establishment of development and testing environments.
Observability and Monitoring: Build tools, scripts, and processes to enhance application visibility through monitoring and telemetry tools.
Best Practices Support: Guide delivery teams on integration testing, security scans, system testing, and performance/load testing. Assist in early user launches like Alphas and Betas.
Skills & Experience Required:
Research & Problem Solving: 2+ years of experience in research, analysis, and problem-solving.
Documentation & Communication: 3+ years of experience documenting issues, solutions, and procedures.
Operational Tools: 2+ years of experience with SSH clients, remote desktop access, command-line interfaces, and security best practices like secrets management.
DevOps in Public Sector: 2+ years of experience working within a Public Sector organization in Canada.
Networking: Familiarity with DNS lookups, Trace Routes, and load balancing (1+ years).
Nice to Have:
Disaster Recovery Testing: 2+ years of experience.
Government 2+ years of experience working with Government development guidelines.
Load Balancing Tools: Experience with Azure FrontDoor, F5 BigIP, or similar tools (1+ year).
