Title: DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation (AWS / GCP)
Location: Downtown Toronto / Kitchener (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 remote)
Employment Type: Contract, Full-time
Duration: 4 months (+ possible extension)
Pay Rate: $60 – $75/hour (based on experience)
About the Role:
Are you a hands-on DevOps Engineer ready to take on cloud, automation, and monitoring challenges? We’re looking for an intermediate to senior-level professional to support AWS and GCP environments, drive CI/CD pipelines, and optimize cloud operations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, to ensure environment stability, monitor systems, and contribute to cost optimization.
What You’ll Do:
Support DevOps initiatives across AWS and GCP environments
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes
Monitor systems using AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
Collaborate on cloud cost planning, KPIs, and operational reporting
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
4+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering roles
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
Terraform experience (preferred)
Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Monitoring and observability tools (AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
