Job Description
Position: Devops Engineer
Client: Financial Information Services Client
Type: 6 month contract + high possibility of extensions to 2 years
Location: 3 days a week on site downtown Toronto
Rate: 55-60/hr incorporated – some flex for senior candidates
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
6+ years experience as a devops engineer at large enterprises
CI/CD & Automation
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, supporting Java-based applications and services
Standardize build, test, and deployment workflows across environments
Implement pipeline automation for builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments
Improve pipeline reliability, observability, and failure handling
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Experience operating cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
familiar with ha-proxy and nagios, aws cloudwatch- plus
experience with loki/grafana, aws firelens container log router – plus
experience with Github actions
