Database Developer

💼 Job Title: Database Developer
📍Location: Montreal Canada – 3 Days Hybrid from Day 1 office
⌛ Duration: Long-term Contract

Responsibilities:
Develop and improve database systems, mainly in Snowflake or other major relational databases.
Work with team members and stakeholders to understand data needs and create efficient solutions.
Monitor and fix any database performance issues.
Write Python scripts for automation and data tasks.
Help with database setup, testing, and documentation.
Support tasks like backups, data migration, and security.
Use basic Unix/Linux commands and tools to manage databases.

Requirements:
Overall, at least 4 years of experience in the technology field.
Basic knowledge of developing and optimizing databases in Snowflake or similar systems.
Experience with Python scripting.
Basic understanding of Unix/Linux systems.
Good communication skills to work well with others.
Ability to troubleshoot database problems and improve performance.
Knowledge of query optimization and indexing is a plus.
