📋 Role Details:
📍 Location: Hybrid, Edmonton, AB.
📅 Contract Term: 6 months (with 6-month extension option).
⏰ Working Hours: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Friday, Alberta time (excluding holidays).

💼 Job Description:
We’re looking for a talented Data Analyst to deliver expertise in data collection, statistical analysis, and visualization to enhance service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
📈 Service Metrics & Dashboards: Develop and share IT project performance dashboards (spend, progress, risk).
🔍 Data Insights: Inform leadership on data trends and recommend performance metrics for program delivery.
📝 Data Governance: Research best practices and recommend data-driven governance policies for digital services.
🤝 Collaboration: Work with Technology and Innovation teams to understand program needs and support deliverables.
💰 Financial Analysis: Create contract inventories, conduct spend analysis, and prepare zero-based budgeting reports.
📊 Grants Support: Aid grants management through data collection and compliance reporting.

✅ Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in finance or procurement.
Experience in data extraction, cleansing, and preparing contract/spend/budget datasets.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL or other database tools.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for zero-based budgeting.

🌟 Desired Qualifications:
2+ years with BI tools (SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python).
3+ years in business requirement analysis, data manipulation, and presenting findings.
2+ years with Microsoft SQL Server.
3+ years with government planning/budgeting processes.
