About The Role

Pragra is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Trainer to lead live and hybrid sessions for our hands-on Cybersecurity Bootcamp. You’ll train learners in both technical and compliance-based skills, covering everything from ethical hacking and exploitation to SOC tools and GRC frameworks.

The ideal trainer will deliver weekly sessions, mentor students on assignments and capstone projects, and prepare them for cybersecurity roles in the Canadian job market.

 

Responsibilities

Deliver structured training sessions both virtually and in person at Pragra’s Mississauga centerTeach a comprehensive cybersecurity curriculum, including:

Hacking methodology, reconnaissance, scanning, and exploitationActive Directory attacks, post-exploitation techniques, and web application pentestingSOC workflows, log management, SIEM tools, and threat intelligenceGovernance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), security audits, risk registers, and policy writingCreate and evaluate assignments, quizzes, lab exercises, and capstone projectsConduct weekly practice sessions and doubt-clearing sessions to reinforce learningGuide students through real-world scenarios and case studies to enhance practical understandingMentor students on career preparation, including mock interviews and resume reviewsCollaborate with curriculum developers and career support teams to ensure content stays aligned with market demandsStay current with industry tools, techniques, and certifications to deliver up-to-date contentMaintain class engagement and provide regular feedback to help students progress effectivelyRequired Skills and Qualification

 

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity (penetration testing, SOC, incident response, or GRC)Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in cybersecurity is highly desirableTechnical Skills

Strong understanding of ethical hacking, vulnerability scanning, and exploitationHands-on experience with tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus, Burp SuiteKnowledge of SIEM tools, threat detection, log analysis, and SOC workflowsFamiliarity with GRC frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and practical use of risk registersExperience with documentation, reporting, and incident response planning

Teaching & Mentorship

Ability to explain technical topics to learners from non-technical or beginner backgroundsExperience designing and delivering hands-on, outcome-based trainingWillingness to mentor students on job readiness, including resume reviews and interview coaching

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation abilitiesOrganized, self-motivated, and committed to learner outcomesTeam-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced bootcamp environment

Location Requirement

Must currently reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) – Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Etobicoke, or nearbyMust be available for in-person sessions at Pragra’s Mississauga training center

Prefered Certifications

CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent
