Cybersecurity Expert – Aircraft Systems Level
Location: Onsite, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Contract

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert with deep experience in aircraft-level systems cybersecurity. This role is critical in defining cybersecurity requirements, conducting risk assessments, and leading verification, validation, and testing efforts to ensure compliance with aviation cybersecurity standards.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in industry guidance such as RTCA DO-326A, DO-356A, and specifically DO-236/ED-202A, with a strong background in systems engineering and cybersecurity as applied to aviation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Define system-level cybersecurity requirements for aircraft systems.
Perform comprehensive risk assessments and threat analyses.
Lead and participate in verification & validation (V&V) activities, including cybersecurity testing.
Ensure system designs meet relevant standards and industry best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and certification teams.
Document cybersecurity controls and support certification efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in system-level cybersecurity for aerospace or avionics platforms.
In-depth knowledge of DO-236/ED-202A and related standards (e.g., DO-326A, DO-355, DO-356A).
Strong background in cybersecurity requirement development, testing, and V&V.
Experience with safety-critical systems and regulatory compliance (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with aircraft OEMs, avionics suppliers, or defense contractors.
Familiarity with secure system architecture and network-level security implementation.
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
