Hays has partnered with a developer who delivers residential and commercial construction projects in both the Greater Toronto Area and out west. They have an office located in Downtown Toronto and are looking for a Project Coordinator to work out of this respective office 5 days a week.

 

Your new role

The Project Coordinator for our developer client plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role involves communicating with team members, liaising with clients, scheduling meetings, and ensuring project deadlines are met. Moreover, they will assist in developing project plans, including defining objectives, establishing timelines, and identifying resource requirements. Finally, they will coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of projects. You will communicate with project stakeholders, contractors, and other relevant parties to keep them informed of progress and any changes. Prepare, review, and update project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical reports.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful candidate for this Project Coordinator role will have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. They will have at least 3 years of experience in construction project coordination or a similar role working on multifamily residential projects in the Greater Toronto Area. They must have excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in project management software, and a thorough understanding of the construction process from planning to execution and closing. Additionally, they will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
