Cloud / Data Migration Engineer

TTP is looking for a highly skilled Cloud / Data Migration Engineer to assist in migrating Capital Market Investment Analytics (CMIA) assets to enterprise Snowflake and Azure cloud platforms. This long-term contract opportunity is set in a sophisticated capital markets environment. Location: Downtown Toronto – Hybrid (3 days onsite) Contract Duration: 12 months (with 12 months renewal) Rate: $100/hr Pls connect me with me asap if you are interested Key Responsibilities: – Design and implement a data & cloud migration framework for Snowflake and Azure – Lead and support the migration of data pipelines and ETL processes – Migrate legacy assets (databases, SSIS, stored procedures, Python analytics) to cloud-native solutions – Maintain and enhance platforms supporting trading, execution, research, and analytics – Establish and promote best practices in software, data engineering, and cloud deployment – Develop new solutions supporting Capital Markets investment desks – Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery – Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly – Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to adoption decisions Experience Required: – 5+ years of software development experience – 3+ years as a Cloud Engineer and/or Data Engineer – Financial industry experience is required – Strong communication skills with both technical teams and capital markets users Core Technical Skills (Must Have): – Cloud & Data Migration – Databases → Snowflake – SSIS & stored procedures → DBT / Airflow – Python analytics → Azure / AKS – Data Engineering & Databases – Snowflake, DBT, Airflow / Astronomer – SQL Server, Oracle, Stored Procedures, SSIS – Cloud & Containers – Microsoft Azure
