Business Systems Analyst (FX & Derivatives Settlements) – 6-Month Contract (Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join a major financial institution for a 6-month contract (with the possibility of extension). This exciting opportunity focuses on FX & Derivative Settlement Operations, with a specific emphasis on ISO 20022 messaging standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements for payment systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 20022 messaging standards.
Conduct gap analysis of current payment systems versus industry standards and project objectives.
Collaborate with business, technology, and project teams to align on system improvements and requirements.
Develop detailed business and technical documents, including use cases and process flows.
Manage UAT testing efforts, ensuring seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams.
Create and maintain project artifacts and ensure adherence to global payment regulations.
Provide analysis and recommendations for process improvements to maximize efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in the financial services sector.
Strong understanding of ISO 20022 and its application to payment systems.
Experience with cross-border payments and SWIFT.
Expertise in FX & Derivative products (e.g., FXALL, Bloomberg, Wallstreet).
Strong documentation skills (functional specs, process flows, use cases, etc.).
Proficiency with tools such as Visio, MS Office, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
Nice to Have:
Experience with payment infrastructure modernization projects.
Knowledge of AML, KYC, and other regulatory compliance considerations.
Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
