About the Role
Category Management’s Business Intelligence team supports evidence-based decision-making by transforming procurement and contract data into actionable insights. As a Business Intelligence Analyst (Intermediate), you will analyze spend, supplier, financial, and market data to enhance performance reporting and ensure timely, reliable, and meaningful intelligence for stakeholders.
You will collaborate within a blended team of in-house staff and contracted resources to deliver high-quality BI capabilities that support both internal and external departmental information needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver information products using diverse data sets (procurement, contracts, finance, market data, etc.).
Work with technologies such as SAP, Power BI, and Alteryx to support evolving information demands.
Conduct data analysis and prepare meaningful insights.
Gather and document business and technical requirements.
Design and build dashboards, reports, and other BI information products.
Capture metadata for information products.
Support program-level control processes: schedule management, status reporting, issues, risk, and change management.
Deliver high-quality work within defined timelines and standards.
Perform quality assurance on BI deliverables.
Respond to ad hoc analytical requests.
Execute data quality audits, statistical analysis, and data mining.
Escalate risks and issues appropriately.
Work effectively in a multi-vendor and multi-disciplinary environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
Education
Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Computer Science or a related field.
Technical Skills
(4+ years experience in each)
Translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
ETL processes and data concepts (Operational Data Stores, Data Warehouses, etc.).
Presenting data through queries, dashboards, and reports.
Work Experience
(4+ years experience in each)
Hands-on development and optimization of Power BI solutions.
Creating and implementing BI requirements.
Dimensional modeling techniques.
Working within BI, data warehouse, or other relevant data environments.
