Position title: SX7166 – Business Intelligence Analyst

Client: SaskEnergy

Duration of Contract: 9 months

Working Status: On-Site Only

Location: SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina

Anticipated Start Date: July 1st, 2025

 

Mandatory Requirements:

1. Must have a minimum 10 years experience, within the last 15 years working with modern data management principles, in a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.

2. Must have Degree or Diploma in Computer Science / Engineering, Data Sciences or a related discipline, or minimum 10 years related work experience.

3. Must be able to work and be located full-time on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

 

Relevant Skills and Experience

1. Expert level communicator (ability to communicate and present effectively, create effective tailored content).

2. Experience working closely with the stakeholders to guide them from start to finish through the solutioning process and into final delivery.

3. Experience designing and implementing technology solutions that enable an organization to achieve its digital transformation goals.

4. Experience with data architectural methodologies application

5. Experience in identify potential technical risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the success of projects.

6. Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government or similar work

 

Technical Skills and Experience

1. SQL Expertise: Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation

2. SQL Expertise: Create and maintain reporting and SQL scripts.

3. Power BI and Business Intelligence Tools: Extensive experience with Power BI and other business intelligence reporting environments. Strong knowledge of Power Query and DAX within the Power BI environment.

4. Cloud Expertise: Power BI Service.

5. Cloud Expertise: Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.

6. Lakehouse architecture & Delta format knowledge.

7. Providing insight into the changing reporting needs and requirements for the company and offer suggestions for technical solutions.

8. Data Analysis: Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights

9. Problem-Solving: Strong logical and problem-solving skills to address data-related challenge

10. Oversee the reporting integration and visualization of data from legacy and on-premises systems to new solutions.

11. Content Management and Data Management Programs and Governance experience.

12. Star Schema and Analytical Data Models knowledge

13. Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

14. Industry Security Standards.
