As part of their continued growth strategy, we are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to help expand our market presence across Alberta and Western Canada. Position Overview
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing sales across key industrial sectors. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven ability to generate growth, who is looking to take on increasing responsibility in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Alberta and Western Canada in core industries including energy, mining, transmission, and construction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and field-level stakeholders.
Analyze market trends and customer needs to uncover new applications and market segments for products and services.
Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to develop proposals, pricing, and tailored solutions.
Attend and represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
Maintain detailed records of business development activities, sales pipeline, and market feedback.
Contribute to marketing and outreach initiatives in target industries and geographies.
Support the organization’s strategic objectives through ongoing market intelligence and client feedback.
Qualifications
3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within industrial services, energy, or related sectors.
Solid understanding of Western Canadian industrial markets and client landscapes.
Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close business, and develop lasting client relationships.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, independent, and highly organized.
Comfortable with regular travel within Alberta and throughout Western Canada.
Valid driver’s license required.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $100,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience
