Hiring: Business Analyst – TLM

Job Description:
1. Conduct in-depth analysis of manually matched transactions to identify recurring patterns, gaps, and opportunities for automation.
2. Collaborate with operations and business users to gain a thorough understanding of the business logic behind the transactions under review.
3. Determine appropriate matching criteria (e.g., references, amounts, value dates, curren-cies) and apply reference masking techniques to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of matching rules in Transaction Lifecycle Management System (TLM System) application.
4. Propose new matching rules aimed at automating manual processes, reducing operational effort, and enhancing reconciliation efficiency.
5. Configure and develop matching rules across development, UAT, and production environ-ments within the TLM system.
6. Perform rigorous testing of configured rules in development and UAT environments, includ-ing loading test data to validate rule accuracy and performance.
7. Document all matching rules, testing procedures, and outcomes for transparency and fu-ture reference.
8. Present proposed rules to operations and business teams to obtain feedback, buy-in, and formal approval for production deployment.
9. Deploy approved matching rules into the TLM production environment and ensure seamless integration.
10. Monitor the performance of newly implemented rules to ensure they deliver the intended reconciliation outcomes.
11. Maintain detailed documentation in Confluence for knowledge sharing and future refer-ence.
12. Investigate issues assigned by the Scotia Manager, perform root cause analysis, and rec-ommend appropriate solutions.
