Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst – Procurement/Banking to support procurement system enhancement initiatives. The position involves engaging with diverse stakeholders within enterprise-level programs, performing detailed requirements gathering, and facilitating process improvements. Pay rate range (CAD): $65.22/hr – $78.26/hr
Responsibilities
Collaborate with key stakeholders across business functions to align technology solutions with strategic goals
Gather and document detailed business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for development teams
Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support system implementation decisions
Analyze and support complex business processes, identifying opportunities for operational improvements
Serve as a liaison between the business units and IT teams to facilitate effective communication and technical solutions
Participate in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, supporting Scrum ceremonies and documentation efforts
Assist with user story development, UAT, and QA processes to ensure quality deliverables
Provide ongoing functional support and issue resolution for applications within the procurement system
Desired Skill-Set
5 to 7 years of proven Business Analyst experience in procurement or banking environments
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Knowledge of programming languages for understanding code and system functions
Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Experience leading stakeholder discussions and facilitating working sessions
Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and MS Office suite
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to manage difficult stakeholders
Ability to document user stories and participate effectively in Agile ceremonies
Experience supporting UAT and QA testing processes
Familiarity with banking or insurance industry workflows and procurement processes
Nice to Have
Prior experience working within financial institutions’ procurement workflows
Advanced degrees such as MBA or equivalent
Knowledge of IT project lifecycle and related technologies
