Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (Hybrid – Onsite once per week)
Contract Duration: 2 Years (with 1-year extension)
Start Date: April 1, 2025

About the Role:
CorGTA is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a government entity in the Greater Halifax area. This position will work within a Project Management Office (PMO), supporting various cross-functional projects to optimize business processes and improve service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in process improvement, IT systems, and driving organizational change through technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead business process re-engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
Analyze and model business processes to develop solutions and enhance service delivery.
Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder collaboration.
Develop business cases and conduct cost-benefit analysis for key initiatives.
Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to evaluate and implement technology solutions.
Create and maintain requirements traceability to ensure alignment with project goals.
Facilitate workshops and bridge communication between business units and technical teams.
Provide regular project updates to senior management, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (8+ years preferred).
Background in one of the following areas:
Project management (PMO, process improvement)
Data & Analytics (Power BI, dashboarding)
Business continuity & enterprise risk management
IT service management (ITIL)
Employee engagement (ERP & HRIS)
Customer service and engagement (applications, portals)

Nice-to-haves:
CBAP or PMI-PBA certification
Experience in the utility industry
SAFE®, PMI-DASM™, or CSM certification

Work Hours:
Standard work hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Atlantic Time (Halifax), Monday to Friday.
