Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a BS (Credit Risk). This contract position offers an opportunity to work on critical credit risk and climate risk initiatives, supporting model development, system integrations, and cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong data science background, excellent requirement gathering skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain credit risk forecasting solutions and calculator tools
Work on integration calculators for stress testing, including Cheeta ECL application
Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather and clarify requirements for model implementation
Assist with model implementation, testing, and validation processes
Ensure credit risk models align with business methodologies and produce clear BRDs
Support initiatives related to climate risk applications and translate business needs into functional specifications
Contribute to on-premise to AWS cloud migration projects by clarifying requirements and facilitating communication between teams
Act as driver for collaboration between business, development, and IT teams
Proactively follow up to gather missing information and clarify expectations
Operate independently under tight deadlines, managing requirements and deliverables effectively
Desired Skill-Set

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Python
Exposure to AWS or cloud environments is a plus
Experience with model development and supporting requirements gathering for models
Ability to analyze situations critically and proceed without extensive supervision
Effective communication skills to liaise across diverse teams
Experience working with credit risk or market risk models, preferably with a focus on a monthly cycle
Nice to Have

Understanding data structures and data models
Background in finance or economics
BA certification (IIBA) is advantageous
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in teams
Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives
